PHILLY WINS ON THE ROAD, 20-17

  • With today’s 20-17 victory, Philadelphia improved to 2-0 for the third time in the last four seasons. The Eagles have won eight consecutive games since Week 17 of 2024 (including playoffs).

    • Philadelphia has posted an 18-1 (.947) record over its last 19 games (including playoffs), which marks the most wins over any 19-game stretch in franchise history.

    • The Eagles, who have won six of their last seven away games, have produced a 25-10 (.714) record on the road under Nick Sirianni (tied for best in the NFL since 2021).

    • Philadelphia is tied with Kansas City for the highest interconference winning percentage (.810, 17-4) in the NFL since 2021. The Eagles have won 10 consecutive regular-season and postseason games vs. AFC opponents, including three in a row against the Chiefs.

  • Nick Sirianni owns a 50-20 (.714) career record, surpassing George Allen (.712, 1966-77) for the 2nd-best winning percentage by a head coach in the Super Bowl Era (min. 50 games), trailing only John Madden (.759, 1969-78). Sirianni ranks 5th in NFL history, behind Guy Chamberlin (.784, 1922-27), Madden, Vince Lombardi (.738, 1969-67 and ‘69), and Ray Flaherty (.720, 1936-42).

    • According to Elias Sports, Sirianni is the seventh head coach in NFL history to reach 50 career wins in 70 games or less, joining Paul Brown (58), George Seifert (62), Guy Chamberlin (64), Chuck Knox (65), Vince Lombardi (66), and Don Shula (69).

  • Jalen Hurts, whose career record is 48-20 (.706) as a starter, eclipsed Peyton Manning (.702, 1998-2015) for the 6th-best QB winning percentage since the 1970 NFL merger. The others ahead of him are Patrick Mahomes (.781, 2017-present), Tom Brady (.754, 2000-22), Roger Staubach (.743, 1969-79), Lamar Jackson (.729, 2018-present), and Joe Montana (.713, 1979-94).

    • Philadelphia has won 16 consecutive games started and finished by Hurts.

  • According to Elias Sports, the Eagles’ all-time regular-season record is 635-635-26, marking the first time Philadelphia has held a .500+ mark since 11/26/1933, when the club was 3-3-1 during its inaugural campaign. (The 1943 “Steagles” do not count toward the Eagles’ all-time records.)

POST-GAME NOTES

  • Saquon Barkley scored his 50th career rushing TD from 13 yards out to give Philadelphia a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, finishing an 8-play, 52-yard drive. The possession followed a missed 58-yard FG try by Chiefs K Harrison Butker that put the Eagles’ offense at the PHI 48.

  • Za’Darius Smith (Eagles debut) and Andrew Mukuba combined to take down Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes for a loss of 11 on third down to hold Kansas City to a FG in the second quarter.

  • Braden Mann booted a 70-yard punt in the second quarter that was fielded at the KC 6. It was the longest punt recorded by an Eagle since Donnie Jones’ 72-yarder on 9/11/16 vs. Cleveland.

  • Philadelphia tied the game before halftime, 10-10, with a 58-yard FG by Jake Elliott. Elliott then lifted the Eagles to a 13-10 advantage at the beginning of the third quarter with a 51-yard FG.

    • Elliott recorded his first game with multiple 50+ yard FGs since 9/10/23 at New England.

    • The Eagles’ all-time leader in 50+ yard FGs (31) is 3-of-3 from 50+ yards this season.

  • Protecting a 13-10 lead in the fourth quarter, Andrew Mukuba picked off Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes at the goal line and returned it 41 yards to the PHI 41 for his first career INT.

    • Mukuba, who registered half a sack earlier in the game, is the first Eagle to record an INT within their first two career games since Rasul Douglas on 9/24/17 vs. N.Y. Giants.

  • On third-and-10 at the KC 31, Jalen Hurts delivered a deep throw down the right sideline to DeVonta Smith for a 28-yard completion. Four plays later, on the KC 1, Hurts ran up the middle for his 58th career rushing TD to extend Philadelphia’s lead, 20-10.

  • Moro Ojomo recorded his first career regular-season sack when he brought down Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes for a three-yard loss with 4:24 remaining in the fourth quarter.
