FOOTBALLSTORIES NFL PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS

The stage has officially been set after 18 weeks of regular season football and 14 teams remain on the singular quest to hoist that Lombardi Trophy in Santa Clara, CA.
The cruel joke, as it is in every professional sport, is that after all of this hard work, determination, and perseverance that all of these teams have shown up to this point, only one will reign as Super Bowl Champions.
This is how I believe these 2025 Playoffs will go down:
NFC
Wild Card Round

Divisional Round
I have full confidence in this Eagles defense to carry an offense that is lacking in all creativity and execution this far, but having to travel to Soldier Field instead of hosting this matchup themselves will prove to be a big difference.
The turnaround in Chicago has been real this season under Ben Johnson who has the offense looking prime to make some noise and take on the toughest defense they’ll face in the Postseason with poise.
NFC West rivals, who have had two games this year, decided by a single possession including a thriller in OT are here to give us another classic.
The Rams have certainly had their woeful performances playing down to competition this year, but I think they are the most complete team in the NFC and will ride a MVP year from their veteran QB Matt Stafford to an NFC Championship berth.

NFC Championship
The Bears are trending upwards after this season and have a lot to look forward to with their young QB Caleb Williams and company but I’m not sure if they have enough to make the run all the way in 2025.
The Rams have a prolific offense and a solid enough defense, buoyed by a great front, that they can make this journey as the #5 seed all the way to the SB.
AFC
Wild Card Round
Divisional Round

The Texan’s defense has been neck and neck with Seattle for the best the league has to offer so I am expecting a great matchup in this game as they take on a Patriots offense that is the best since Tom Brady was under center.
QB Drake Maye, who is one of two possible MVP candidates this year, doesn’t seem to be slowing down however and makes just enough plays to get past their hardest matchup in the playoffs.

The Broncos earned this number 1 seed by playing solid football all season long but as many will look at their 11-2 record in games decided by 1 score as a positive, too many of those games were them letting bad teams hang around.
The Bills are the best second-half scoring team in the league averaging nearly 16 points between the third/fourth quarters of games, so I think Josh Allen has enough heroics to launch his team into an AFC Championship berth.
AFC Championship
A lot like the Rams vs Seahawks on the NFC side of the bracket, these two teams have a lot of history that would culminate in a fantastic playoff matchup.
The Patriots and Drake Maye have fully arrived into making New England a team to fear in the AFC once again but Josh Allen and the Bills understand the pressures of playoff football just a bit more and can squeak one out in NE.

Super Bowl
In a battle of underdogs by seeding but far from it in experience these two teams should give us a SB to remember.
In the end, I’m going to side with the more complete team who should have two matchup nightmares in WR’s Davante Adams and Puka Nacua that the Bills just aren’t equipped with dealing with at this point.
I fully expect this to be a shootout style game reminiscent of the 2017 Eagles vs Patriots SB leaving everyone, regardless of fandom, completely satiated. *
